Sometimes I ignore my emotions, ’cause its hard to date at my age. Here’s the scoup, this morning I broke my resolution and smoked two packs of cigarettes. As a coping mechanism of loneliness, obviously. Yeah, I did it. Am I crazy? Actually, it’s when I first thought about dating again in Dallas or Denver.

No problem. I’ll meet new singles with this Dallas dating service. And it could do me good. The reason I mention my dating woes: We were at my 40th birthday at Oak Park yesterday, my sister asked me if I’ve met my one and only. They always bring this up, every year. I laughed and spit out, “that’s none of your business.”

No surprise that Gramps kept pressing me on the topic of marriage. I said to the whole group: “Dating isn’t for me, but I manage, don’t I?”

Do you have any idea what happened next? No one knew what I was talking about, as usual. Immediately, I emailed my astrologist so I could clear my head. But I couldn’t get it out of my head! Nothing was helping and I needed some damn help. Billy, who recently moved to Italy offered his opinion that I join Great Expectations. I said, “You know, that’s a good idea.” But it really was a good idea. I especially enjoy the singles at Great Expectations Dallas.

Early on, matchmaking was new because I’m a traditionalist of sorts. I was a bit nervous at first, that my hands started sweating. A mere emotional anxiety couldn’t bring an end to us from enjoying ourselves. The evening was bursting with excitement. The gems of the occasion had to be the honest, desirable singles.

It wasn’t long before I was regularly mingling at these glorious Great Expectations Dallas singles events and mixers, I bumped into a collection of dynamite friends that obviously have similar ideas for how dating should be done. Now I can stop letting anyone get on my back about me not dating. Wonderfully enough, mingling in Dallas with Great Expectations is enjoyable and a remarkably refreshing dating experience.

For years, women’s hair loss and wigs were not something I was familiar with. Anchoring the nightly news was the only thing I cared about. That was true till the time I started to lose my hair due to medical hair loss. I pronounced that I wouldn’t condone the outcome of becoming a balding Mr. Clean of Texas.

I thought that I’d lost myself, without a real head of hair. It became clear that it would be impossble to recover fabulous style. Girl, I was foolish. Before I got wise and bought my real human hair wig, I attempted a barrage of silly synthetic wigs that didn’t match my scalp. My boyfriend Malcolm worked his magic and found respectable, medical wig websites that carried authentic wigs that would suit me.

Then I got online and checked it out. I uncovered a cornucopia of astonishing, chic wigs. Their natural wigs for cancer patients suited me best.

Given the perfect wig, a girl in my place would foster confidence while growing comfortable with her medical hair loss. Now I see this as an opportunity to display my current golden locks. It was magical to actually go about as I used to on the job.

It’s likely I’m being ridiculous carrying on like this, however my style is an important aspect of my career. Is it possible there’s more things to reality than a beautiful head of hair? Darn-it, I don’t care if it were true. Its true, medical wigs for women offer an important option for stylish ladies who can relate.

You can’t understand what this has been like. No one knows the reality of me and my cancer. Anyhow so it goes, I’m just glad to look fabulous for my husband again. Lace front wigs improved things for my attitude on life.

Judgmental people might find that sentiment is superficial. They don’t know. What makes being alive so worthwhile? For me, I adore love and my hair.

Feel Good About Your Wig,

Now, Nobody can say I’m terribly comfortable living alone and be 100% truthful. However, I’m not uncomfortable about it, either. I only mention it on the blogosphere as an appetizing little tidbit setting up the story I am about to reveal to you

A week ago today I was talking to Sandy, considering buying a membership to Dallas Personals site. Now, I write to each of you as a fully satisfied member of the dating service. No kidding, it’s true. It’s full of fun, attractive people! If you’ve been paying attention, you’re probably thinking, “Stop blabbering and tell me about it already.”

Here’s how it went down, I noticed these Great Expectations Reviews and can really get behind their approach. They’re for quality and professional singles who know dating should have a point.

Quite frankly, I’d never been interested in this silly social phenomenon a lot of singles have christened “The Dating Game.” I faced it more than anyone should. Every night readers nagg, “Are you seeing somebody?” and “Just get out there and date him!”

“Nonsense,” I banter right back, smiling ear to ear. “Have you seen what’s out there?”

“Whatever doofus,” they reply. “You have no way to know that!”

Thankfully, that’s my sister (she’s the best) Trisha McCarthy. She pours rational thought to my brain to set me straight. Loved ones never fail to offer perspective. Can’t argue with that, and I joined.

Returning to the theme of this blog entry. As I browsed from more than three hundred outfits (hah) and desirable, honest singles for my first singles event with Great Expectations, a revelation hit me deep. Over the last year, I hadn’t allowed myself too many actual great expectations for dating and myself in the serendipitous winding course of being alive. Single life has its perks, especially if you take the opportunity to meet new people. Having great expectations makes a difference in dating.

How wonderful it would be if we can read the mind of our partner or even anyone whom we are attracted to. We would know what he or she likes, whether he or she is in love with me or simply whether he or she is cheating on you!

Although I do believe that there a psychics who can really mind read, I also understand that it may be a God given gift and may not easily be modelled or learnt. So well what can we do? Cry and wallow into self-pity because of a lack in skills?

NO WAY!

I attended a course call Patterns of Excellence which encompassed the essentials of NLP. One part of the program included this thing called language pattern of “Mind Reading”. This is really cool I thought! This trainer taught that the tools could also be used to seduce someone! This is way too cool.

In NLP, mind reading is simply using phrases to embed a suggestion into someone else’s mind to make the person more receptive and comfortable to what you propose. For example, when out on a date, you can say this to build rapport and play the lead role of the date:

“Did you know that XXX Restaurant serves the freshest oysters? You want to go there for dinner?”

Your date will be amazed at how well you understand him or her and you know he or she will be in agreement. And the rest of the journey is made easier.

Have fun testing it out!
