Naveen Jain: Extending His Philanthropic Efforts to United Way
Founder and CEO of Intelius, Naveen Jain is actively engaged in several philanthropic activities. United Way of King County (UWKC) is a charitable organization that works to resolve the pressing issues in King County, Washington such as early learning and homelessness. UWKC additionally provides other community services and support to a network of nonprofit agencies through training opportunities, governance and management resources, and volunteer recruitment and referral. Based on the 2005 UWKC Community Report, Naveen Jain and wife Anu, have contributed to its Community Safety Net Fund during the 2004 to 2005 campaign, a project that sought to address the issues of early learning, employment, and homelessness. Naveen and Anu Jain were listed among the Advocates of the Community Safety Net, a donor level for contributions ranging from $25,000 to $49,999. In the 2007 UWKC Report, the couple was again listed on the Advocates level for $25,000 to $49,999 invested in the United Way of King County annually. In addition, Naveen and Anu Jain were recognized as among the list of 2006-2007 Alexis de Tocqueville Society Ambassadors. The Society includes in excess of 600 philanthropic leaders and membership in the Society is granted to individuals with contributions of at least $10,000 to United Way each year.
